About Kathy Walter Mack

Currently, Kathy Walter-Mack serves as Associate Vice Chancellor, Human Resources, at Metropolitan Community College.An experienced legal professional, Kathy Walter-Mack serves as the chief of staff to the chancellor and as associate vice chancellor of human resources at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri. Her responsibilities include overseeing projects and initiatives for five campuses within the community college system and guiding staff recruitment, compensation, and compliance. In addition, Kathy Walter-Mack has established programs for new-employee onboarding and training, as well as creating a leadership development academy that will be implemented this coming spring.

She previously directed the Urban Affairs and Inclusion department at the college. In this capacity, Ms. Walter-Mack interfaced with members of the community on behalf of the school and generated more than $1 million in funding for training programs benefiting the local economy.

Preparing for her career, Kathy Walter-Mack completed a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in journalism and political science at Roosevelt University in Chicago. She received her juris doctor from the DePaul University College of Law.
